Manchester City Agree €100M Deal for 18-Year-Old Morocco Star Ayyoub Bouaddi

Manchester City have reached an agreement with Lille to sign highly rated Morocco midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi in a deal worth up to €100 million.

The 18-year-old midfielder is set to move to Manchester after City agreed to pay around €95 million up front, with a further €5 million available in performance-related add-ons.

Bouaddi has emerged as one of the most exciting young midfielders in European football. He made a strong impression during the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Morocco, starting five of the team's six matches as Morocco reached the quarter-finals.

The transfer is particularly significant because Bouaddi is expected to help Manchester City rebuild their midfield following Rodri's departure to Barcelona. City have also invested heavily in their midfield this summer, including the signing of Elliot Anderson

If completed as reported, the deal would make Bouaddi the most expensive teenage signing in Premier League history, surpassing the previous record associated with Leny Yoro.

Manchester City will now hope the young Moroccan can develop into a long-term midfield star at the Etihad Stadium
