Venkatesh Iyer expressed, "More than confidence, we were eager to showcase our talent after the gap since our last game on the 11th. The wicket was excellent. Momentum is crucial in such tournaments; we aimed for it like RCB. Despite rain interruptions, being table-toppers boosted our morale. Playing in the IPL final is special; Chennai awaits. Our excitement, evident in Rinku's fielding, drives us to perform."
Post-match statement from Cummins: "We'll swiftly move past this setback. Thankfully, we've got another chance in the second qualifier. In T20 cricket, there are days when things just don't click. Our batting wasn't up to par, and we couldn't make much happen with the ball either. We felt having extra batting depth was crucial, hence the decision to include the impact sub. KKR bowled exceptionally well, especially considering the conditions. As seasoned players, we understand the importance of putting this behind us and focusing on the next challenge. Transitioning to a new venue in Chennai should work in our favor. It's time to regroup and push forward."
